Official guidance

The Ministry of Finance defines an e-invoice as structured digital invoice data created and exchanged electronically. A PDF, Word document, image, scan, or email by itself is not an e-invoice under this definition.
This optional form saves self-reported business and invoicing details for a Diwanio follow-up. It does not return a score or report, inspect invoice files, confirm legal scope, or certify compliance.
When you export an invoice from Diwanio, checks flag missing required data before a manual PINT-AE preview package is generated for download.
Diwanio supports customer invoice creation and management. UAE e-invoicing through an accredited service provider is not currently available. We plan to offer this provider connection separately as a paid add-on; availability, scope, and pricing are not yet confirmed. The current PINT-AE package is a manual preview and is not submitted to an ASP or the FTA. A ready result is not FTA acceptance or proof of legal or technical compliance.

No. The Ministry of Finance says a PDF, Word document, image, scan, or email by itself is not an e-invoice. The system uses structured electronic invoice data.
For an in-scope Person with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more, appoint an accredited service provider (ASP) by 30 October 2026 and implement by 1 January 2027. Below AED 50 million, the dates are 31 March 2027 to appoint an ASP and 1 July 2027 to implement. In-scope Government Entities have separate dates: 31 March 2027 to appoint and 1 October 2027 to implement. PINT-AE is the UAE-specific Peppol International invoice specification, adapted for local requirements. It describes structured invoice data used in the UAE e-invoicing system. See the Ministry of Finance guidelines for technical details.
The five corners are the supplier, the supplier’s ASP, the recipient’s (buyer’s) ASP, the buyer, and the Federal Tax Authority. The ASPs support invoice exchange, while the FTA is Corner 5 for tax-data reporting. On 27 September 2026, the Ministry said the model was operational during the pilot phase.
The Ministry of Finance publishes the official list of accredited providers. Use it to verify current accreditation, then discuss your requirements, integration, service terms, and onboarding directly with a provider. Diwanio does not rank or recommend providers.
